A COURTESY VISIT BY THE CHANCELLOR OF UNIVERSITI ISLAM MELAKA
MELAKA, 14 August 2026 – The Governor of Melaka and Chancellor of Universiti Islam Melaka (UNIMEL), His Excellency Tun Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam, was graciously present at Universiti Islam Melaka to perform Friday prayers together with university staff and members of the local community at Masjid Al-Ilmi, UNIMEL.
The arrival of His Excellency Tun Chancellor was warmly received by YBhg. Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr. Abdul Khalil bin Shawkataly, Vice Chancellor of UNIMEL, together with members of the university’s senior management.
Following the Friday prayers, His Excellency Tun Chancellor graciously presented contributions to the congregants of Masjid Al-Ilmi as a gesture of care and concern for the local community. The contribution also reflected His Excellency Tun Chancellor’s continued commitment towards the welfare and well-being of the community.
The programme continued with the officiating of the Chancellery Foyer, which serves as an important facility in strengthening the identity, functions and infrastructure of Universiti Islam Melaka. The opening also symbolised the university’s continuous efforts to provide a conducive and competitive environment for the UNIMEL community.
His Excellency Tun Chancellor then graciously joined the university community for lunch in a warm and cordial atmosphere. The occasion further strengthened the relationship between His Excellency Tun Chancellor and the UNIMEL community while fostering a greater sense of unity and togetherness within the university.
The presence of His Excellency Tun Chancellor at UNIMEL not only reflected his care and concern for the welfare of the university community and the local community, but also served as a source of inspiration for all UNIMEL staff to continuously strive for excellence in education, ummah development and community service.
As the Chancellor of UNIMEL, His Excellency Tun Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam’s continued care and support serve as a strong source of encouragement for the university community to fulfil its responsibilities in strengthening Islamic higher education while contributing to the development of society and the nation.
May His Excellency Tun Chancellor always be blessed with good health, a long and blessed life, and continued grace and well-being in guiding and supporting Universiti Islam Melaka.
ZIARAH KASIH TYT TUN CANSELOR KE UNIVERSITI ISLAM MELAKA
MELAKA, 14 Ogos 2026 – Yang di-Pertua Negeri Melaka merangkap Canselor Universiti Islam Melaka (UNIMEL), TYT Tun Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam, berkenan hadir ke Universiti Islam Melaka bagi menunaikan solat Jumaat bersama warga universiti dan masyarakat setempat di Masjid Al-Ilmi, UNIMEL.
Ketibaan TYT Tun Canselor disambut oleh YBhg. Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr. Abdul Khalil bin Shawkataly, Naib Canselor UNIMEL, bersama barisan pengurusan tertinggi universiti.
Seusai menunaikan solat Jumaat, TYT Tun Canselor berkenan menyampaikan sumbangan kepada ahli kariah Masjid Al-Ilmi sebagai tanda keprihatinan serta kasih sayang terhadap masyarakat setempat. Sumbangan tersebut turut mencerminkan komitmen dan keprihatinan berterusan TYT Tun Canselor dalam menjaga kebajikan komuniti.
Atur cara kemudiannya diteruskan dengan perasmian Ruang Legar Canselori, yang menjadi salah satu kemudahan penting dalam memperkukuh identiti, fungsi serta prasarana Universiti Islam Melaka. Perasmian tersebut turut melambangkan usaha berterusan universiti dalam menyediakan persekitaran yang kondusif dan berdaya saing bagi warga UNIMEL.
TYT Tun Canselor kemudiannya berkenan menikmati santapan tengah hari bersama warga universiti dalam suasana penuh mesra dan harmoni. Kesempatan tersebut turut mengeratkan hubungan antara TYT Tun Canselor dengan warga UNIMEL serta memperkukuh semangat kebersamaan dalam komuniti universiti.
Kehadiran TYT Tun Canselor ke UNIMEL bukan sahaja mencerminkan keprihatinan dan kepedulian terhadap kebajikan warga universiti serta masyarakat setempat, malah turut menjadi sumber inspirasi kepada seluruh warga UNIMEL untuk terus memperkukuh kecemerlangan dalam bidang pendidikan, pembangunan ummah dan khidmat kepada masyarakat.
Sebagai Canselor UNIMEL, keprihatinan dan sokongan berterusan TYT Tun Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam menjadi suntikan semangat kepada seluruh warga universiti untuk terus melaksanakan amanah dalam memperkasakan pendidikan tinggi Islam serta menyumbang kepada pembangunan masyarakat dan negara.
Semoga TYT Tun Canselor sentiasa dikurniakan kesihatan yang baik, dipanjangkan usia dalam keberkatan serta terus dilimpahi rahmat dan kesejahteraan dalam memayungi Universiti Islam Melaka.
