AYER MOLEK PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE GETS A NEW LOOK, UNIMEL STUDENTS CREATE COMMUNITY IMPACT

The pedestrian bridge, once dull and worn, has now been revitalized through the efforts of students from Universiti Islam Melaka (UNIMEL) under the Wakil Rakyat Untuk Rakyat (WRUR) program for the Ayer Molek state constituency.

This initiative not only beautified the surroundings but also strengthened the relationship between the educational institution and the local community through the students’ direct involvement.

The program was also attended by YB Rahmad bin Mariman and Prof. Datuk Dr. Ts. Abdul Khalil Shawkataly, reflecting a continuous commitment to empowering society in an inclusive manner.

According to the Vice Chancellor of UNIMEL, student participation in community-based field programs helps nurture a generation that is caring, competitive, and socially responsible.

From a single pedestrian bridge emerged a powerful message: students are not merely learning β€” they are leading change.
