KERJASAMA UNIMEL-DHS HOSPITALITY ACADEMY BUKA LALUAN KERJAYA HOSPITALITI BERTARAF ANTARABANGSA
Universiti Islam Melaka (UNIMEL) terus memperkukuh jaringan kerjasama industri menerusi pemeteraian Memorandum Persefahaman (MoU) bersama DHS Hospitality Academy Sdn. Bhd., sebuah institusi latihan hospitaliti yang berpengalaman luas dalam pembangunan modal insan industri hospitaliti di peringkat antarabangsa.
Kerjasama strategik ini membuka ruang baharu dalam memperkasa pendidikan hospitaliti, pembangunan bakat serta peluang kerjaya global khususnya kepada mahasiswa UNIMEL dan generasi muda negara. Antara fokus utama kerjasama ini ialah pelaksanaan program pembangunan kerjaya hospitaliti bertaraf antarabangsa yang memberi pendedahan industri sebenar kepada pelajar, termasuk peluang penempatan dan latihan dalam sektor hospitaliti di luar negara. Melalui kolaborasi ini juga, pelajar berpeluang mengikuti program pembangunan profesional dan laluan akademik yang lebih kompetitif dalam bidang hospitaliti dan industri halal yang kini semakin mendapat perhatian di peringkat global.
Selain itu, kerjasama ini turut menjadi platform penting dalam memperluas hubungan akademik dan industri, sekali gus menyokong usaha melahirkan graduan yang lebih bersedia menghadapi keperluan pasaran kerja masa kini. UNIMEL telah diwakili oleh Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr. Abdul Khalil Shawkataly, Naib Canselor UNIMEL manakala DHS Hospitality Academy Sdn. Bhd. diwakili oleh Pengasas dan Pengarah Kumpulannya, Dr. S. Sri Kumar.

Universiti Islam Melaka (UNIMEL) continues to strengthen its industry collaboration network through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DHS Hospitality Academy Sdn. Bhd., a hospitality training institution with extensive experience in developing human capital for the international hospitality industry.
This strategic collaboration places a strong emphasis on short-term professional courses and academic programmes aimed at enhancing hospitality education, talent development, and global career opportunities, particularly for UNIMEL students and the younger generation in Malaysia. Among the key focuses of the partnership are the implementation of internationally oriented hospitality career development programmes, industry-driven short courses, and academic pathways that provide students with real-world industry exposure, including opportunities for training and placement within the hospitality sector abroad.
Through this collaboration, students will also have the opportunity to participate in professional development programmes and pursue more competitive academic pathways in hospitality and the halal industry, both of which are receiving increasing global attention. The initiative is expected to equip graduates with practical skills, international exposure, and industry-relevant knowledge aligned with current workforce demands.
In addition, the collaboration serves as an important platform for expanding academic and industry relations while supporting efforts to produce graduates who are better prepared to meet the evolving needs of todayβs job market.
